Prior to partnering with Blue Sea Capital, DECA Dental was an outstanding business with a unique model in the dental industry. Under the leadership of its founders, Dr. Sulman Ahmed and his partners, Drs. Alles and Patel, DECA had expanded organically to more than 30 practice locations in just eight years. Seeking to accelerate growth further, the doctors teamed with Blue Sea Capital to build a market leading DSO.
Investment highlights
Supported by Blue Sea Capital, DECA grew from a top-three provider in the greater Dallas Metroplex to the largest DSO in Texas, while also expanding into Washington and Florida. Over the span of our partnership, the number of offices and patient visits more than tripled and employee headcount nearly quadrupled, leading to a tripling of revenue and earnings.
