Eye Institute of New York Joins Spectrum Vision Partners’ OCLI to Provide Expanded and Improved Patient CareDecember 10, 2018
Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (“OCLI”), a Spectrum Vision Partners (SVP) managed practice, today announced it will be adding the respected eye care team of Peter J. Breingan, MD, Richard DeLuca, MD and Lauren Wolitzer, OD, of Eye Institute of New York. The doctors will maintain their current Manhattan practice address at 132 East 76th Street, Suite 2D, New York, NY 10021.
Over the years, Eye Institute of New York has built a respected practice known for state of the art technology, a wide range of services and personalized care. The affiliation with OCLI will allow the office to further improve care and expand its patient services.
Eye Institute of New York recently became the sixth affiliation of Spectrum Vision Partners’ managed practices since November 2017, when Spectrum announced its strategic relationship with the growth-oriented, private equity firm Blue Sea Capital. Since then, 22 eye doctors and ten locations have been added across the four affiliates, expanding the leading network of nationally renowned, multi-specialty ophthalmologists and optometrists in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-State region.
“This is an exceptional opportunity for us and our patients,” notes Peter J. Breingan, MD. “As part of the OCLI group, Eye Institute of New York will benefit from the expertise of a leading management services organization within the ophthalmology sector.”
Richard DeLuca, MD, agrees. “Backed by OCLI, we can now focus on providing even greater care for our patients, including advanced procedures and additional eye care treatment options.”
Eric D. Donnenfeld, MD, OCLI, is excited to welcome the Eye Institute of New York into the OCLI group. “Eye Institute of New York has built a highly respected practice over the years. Their addition to the OCLI group strengthens our New York presence and gives our patients greater access to the exceptional eye care experience they’ve come to expect from an OCLI affiliated practice.”
SVP administratively supports the growth and management of some of the leading ophthalmology practices and eye ambulatory surgery centers in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Tri-State area. In addition to Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (“OCLI”), managed practices include Island Eye Surgicenter, Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut (“OCC”), New Vision Cataract Center, Glaucoma Associates of Long Island, Precision Eye Care and Huntington Eye Care.
In its first year of business, SVP has grown from 400 employees to a current total of more than 700. The organization recently relocated to new corporate offices in order to provide improved customer service. The company offers its network of multi-specialty ophthalmologists a complete range of business services.
Tom Burke, CEO of Spectrum Vision Partners, commented, “Our company is excited to once again strengthen the OCLI practice hub with the addition of the Eye Institute of New York team. Dr.’s Breingan, DeLuca and Wolitzer have built a stellar reputation in Manhattan. They share our passion for achieving high-quality outcomes, while delivering an outstanding patient experience.
OCLI and Spectrum Vision Partners will build out the OCLI Manhattan hub with highly respected doctors and OCLI-affiliated surgeons in New York City and the surrounding boroughs. Spectrum will continue to assist OCLI to build centers of eye care excellence in New York, with the best and brightest clinicians we can attract. I look forward to future partnerships with the community of eye care providers who recognize OCLI’s long history of transparent business transactions, their focus on excellence and Spectrum’s proven ability to fulfill their vision and meet their long-term goals.”
