Prior to partnering with Blue Sea Capital, NSi Industries was backed by a private equity sponsor and its entrepreneurial founder, Axel Rasmussen. Axel was seeking a value-added partner that would help the company build an executive management team and capitalize on its strong customer relationships to accelerate growth.

Investment highlights

Working with NSi, we recruited an outstanding CEO, G.R. Schrotenboer, and added key senior leaders to increase management depth. Over the next four years, NSi Industries completed three add-on acquisitions—Platinum Tools, Sullstar Technologies and Bridgeport Fittings—entered into an agreement to acquire Polaris Connectors, and grew its core business, resulting in a tripling of revenue and earnings.
